Lead Guide and Owner, West Adventures
Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, we looked forward to when the leaves would change and the colder weather - it meant deer season was upon us. Hunting gave my brother and I quality time with my dad and family, talking about anything under the moon and sun. The quality time and the stories are what I remember most about those moments in the stand.
There's nothing quite like getting to know someone when you are immersed in nature, surrounded by all the songbirds, bugs, varmints, turkeys and deer. Getting to know your background, where you grew up hunting, and listening to your far out stories and tales is why guiding is my passion
To have the opportunity to meet new, likeminded hunters and get to know them. To have the chance to share a once in a lifetime hunt with them. Listen to what their fathers and grandfathers told them when they were kids. Sitting over a food plot, a deer feeder, an open field or valley, full of nothing but nature.
